Despite the optimism of my posts from 2014, I was unable to find the time to return to development of the site, and it was left unfinished.
Hopefully, having better adjusted to life after College I will be able to once more take up development. I will update this blog as my efforts continue.

Progress is being made, slowly but steadily. I started work on the archive feature for the blog and it is coming along. I will need to change some things around, but I have the bare bones in place now. It is't much, but I got a little side tracked trying to setup a test database. Rather than burning time on that I decided to plough ahead on getting some more features in, since I won't be doing anything that could impact the database contents, just reading.
I am hoping to find time tomorrow to finish off the archive feature and get it going on live, but it may take me a little while depending on how much I have to re-work my existing code. Once I get back into the swing of it things should start to move faster.

It has been a long time since my last update, it was a rough end to the semester and I needed some time to adjust to life after school. I can honestly say it was one of the most difficult and stressful periods in my life, and I am glad that it is past. Looking back over the contents of the website I can see how bitter I had become towards the end, and I look forward to updating the site to provide a better representation of myself.
Aside from adjusting content, a major overhaul of this site is on the agenda as it is extremely lacking in pretty much any features at all. The lack of development is in large part due to its initially limited scope, as it was created for an assignment focused around implementing a responsive framework, rather than as a permanent fixture. Following updates to content I will begin implementing the plan that I outlined before I stopped development, with a focus on filling out backend support for editing, so that I can make it easier to update the site.
Even though I am not in school, there is still a battle for the elusive "free time" that I have heard people speak of. Perhaps though it is less a matter of finding time and more about finding time when I can work effectively without sacrificing R&R. With luck I will be able to squeeze in a few hours every week and over time accumulate significant changes.
